Set up your wallet

Any EIP-1193 wallet works (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet). Open play.theminers.cash or rush.theminers.cash and hit Connect wallet — Robinhood Chain is added for you. Manual settings if you ever need them:

You need a little ETH on Robinhood Chain for gas. Gas is tiny here — fractions of a cent per action.

Mint your miners — free

Go to rush.theminers.cash, pick a quantity, hit Mint. It's free; you pay only gas. Max 10 per wallet, 4,949 total.

Minting is commit-reveal: your draw is decided by chain entropy 5 blocks after you commit, so nobody — including us — can snipe rares or pick favorites. The page automatically asks you to confirm the reveal a few seconds after the mint; your miners then appear on screen.

Get $PAYDIRT

Everything in the game is priced in $PAYDIRT. It trades on Pons — the token is 0xb39fe606ec7b4c11d212f25c8b7402f26dfc4aea (explorer). A single Shift 1 costs 2,000 $PD, so start with a few thousand.

Queue a shift (this is how you earn)

In the game, open My Miners, pick a miner, hit Queue shift. First time, your wallet asks to approve $PAYDIRT, then the shift transaction runs. Shifts activate within an hour (the delay stops last-second pot-sniping) — the page shows a Finalize step when your shift is ready to go live.

Weight is your slice of every payout. The curve is sublinear on purpose: tier 5 costs 22.5× tier 1 but only carries 3.33× the weight — whales pay a premium for concentration, small crews stay competitive.

Vote, strike, and payday

Fees fill the Motherlode pot in ETH. Working miners vote on which commodity the next payout buys (voting also earns XP). Once the pot crosses the threshold, anyone can hit Strike — the caller earns a 0.5% bounty. The strike buys commodity tokens at guarded rates and splits them across every active miner by weight, with a 1.10× bonus when the commodity matches a miner's profession.

Payouts currently use PayDirt commodity tokens — pGLD, pSLV, pOIL. The real-world-asset routes (Robinhood's GLD/SLV/USO) switch on when those markets can be stocked.

Harvest — after the cool-off

Struck rewards sit in the pot ledger for a 4-hour cool-off, then Harvest moves them into your miner's own on-chain wallet (every miner is an ERC-6551 account — the miner literally owns its stash, and it travels with the NFT when sold). Harvesting earns XP too.

Climb the ranks

XP comes from first-time shifts at each tier (100–300), votes (25) and harvests (50). Ranks: Greenhorn → Prospector → Digger → Blaster → Foreman → Mine Baron, gated at 100 / 275 / 500 / 800 / 1,250 XP. Promotions cost 650 / 2,000 / 5,000 / 12,500 / 32,500 $PD — and part of every promotion is burned forever. Higher ranks unlock heavier shifts. The career is recorded on the NFT: sell the miner, sell the career.

The floor, the pawn shop, the long drop

Assay Office: swap any miner for 20,000 $PD, or 20,000 $PD for a miner from the vault, any time. The reserve holds 98,980,000 $PD — enough to buy back every one of the 4,949 at once. Small ETH fee (0.001 swap / 0.0025 to snipe a specific miner).

Grubstake Loans: borrow 12,500 $PD against a miner at zero interest — repay the same 12,500 to unlock it. Flat 0.00025 ETH/week upkeep. Walk away and it's eventually liquidated for a 200 $PD bounty.

Mine Shaft: pay 1,000 $PD to descend; 20% chance to surface with 4,000. Expected value 800 — the house edge is 20% and we print it. Pool-capped: it can never owe more than it holds.
